Hey, MAC,

I love the look of Commerce Park. It is always so well-kept. But I was wondering what is being done to sell the land to companies that will build and get into production?

Love the Look

Dear Look,

We asked Brandy Allen, the city's planning director.

"A lot of requests we get are for existing buildings because a lot of buildings were left vacant after the economic downturn," she said. "So, that's what's getting a lot of the activity right now. Maybe later, when there are fewer existing buildings on the market, we might see more interest in vacant land."

The lots at Commerce Park are being marketed nationally by Summit Realty. Montgomery County Economic Development and the Indiana Economic Development Commission are also keeping the lots before potential developers, she said.
