U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita (IN-04) will be speaking to the Indiana Senate Education and Career Development Committee on Wednesday, January 27.  The Committee will convene at 1:30 p.m. in Room 233 of the Indiana State House.

Rep. Rokita was invited by Chairman Dennis Kruse (R-Auburn) to address the committee, after Rep. Rokita spoke to both chambers of the General Assembly on Jan. 19.

He will be speaking on the Every Student Succeeds Act, which became law last month. The ESSA is the largest education reform package emanating from Washington in over a decade. A co-author of the original bill, Rep. Rokita helped lead its bipartisan, bicameral passage as Chair of the House Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education.
