Louis Metzman, M.D. of Athens Orthopedics, Sports & Occupational Medicine attended the 2010 DePuy "Knee Continuum of Care" Course in Nevada in late February.
DePuy, a company of Johnson & Johnson, is one of the many businesses that Dr. Metzman and Dr. Clifford F. Hornback of Athens Orthopedic works with to provide the latest surgical tools and techniques to their patients. Through courses such as this, the doctors are able to evaluate and learn new techniques to be able to provide excellent care to all patients.
Various up-to-date treatment techniques learned during the course will be used at St. Clare Medical Center and Athens Outpatient Services, including the latest surgical techniques for partial knee replacements and total knee replacements. These techniques will help patients of all ages and all activity levels with their knee pain.
